Scalp Micropigmentation

Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) is a specialised tattoo treatment for the scalp. It is widely regarded as one of the most cost-effective solutions for hair loss, delivering realistic, natural-looking results that are long-lasting.

SMP works by replicating the appearance of natural hair follicles on the scalp. For individuals with patchy or thinning hair, the treatment enhances density, making the scalp beneath less noticeable or completely concealed. For those experiencing full baldness, SMP creates the look of a closely shaved head, giving the impression of a deliberate, clean haircut.

Who is Scalp Micropigmentation for?

Who can we treat / reasons for hair loss :

Male / Female pattern baldness

Thinning hair

Alopecia

Failed hair transplant, or transplant scars

Post Partum hair loss / menopause or Endocrine conditions

Traction Alopecia

Trichotillomania

As part of your consultation we will access the area requiring treatment, including the size of the area, the amount of hair loss and the desired density and final look.

In most cases we will use The Norwood Scale or Ludwig Scale to understand the area of hair loss. This will also help us determine how long your treatment will take.

The Process

Full head / Balding Spots SMP

Carried out over 2-3 sessions

Develop - Density - Perfect

1st Treatment, Development: We will map out your desired and the most suitable hairline for you, we will also begin to develop the dots on your scalp, at this stage they will be more sparse, but enough for you start to see how the final result will turn out.

Minimum 2 weeks between treatments, this allows the ink to settle into your skin, see how it heals and how the colour have developed.

2nd Treatment, Density: Here will we complete your full look, by adding more dots to add a denser and fuller scalp look.

Your treatment may be finished here,

3rd Treatment, Perfect: This isn’t always required, but you may need or may choose to come back for additional density, depending on your desired final appearance and healing.
